Just got back from my Ragnar Relay and it was AWESOME! I also ate like a rockstar! No treats and no junk food! I ran a total of 12.1 miles up hill and it was tough! My favorite leg was the second one. I started at 10:50 at night and ran through a golf course up into the mountains. It was a full moon and I was all by myself. The temperature could not have been better- a little cool and perfect for running. I was in the ZONE! I was sailing past everyone and my stride seemed like it was a mile long... Total runners high! I ended up finishing my 6.6 miles of hills in 53 minutes. That was the best run I've ever had. Loved it!
The first leg was up a hill (I got stuck with all the hills somehow) climbing 700 feet in one and a half miles then going straight back down... It was hot and hard. It was a great 'wake me up' for my legs though. The last leg was all hills too but the exchange was literally on the beach so it was worth it!
Overall it was a great experience and I'm so happy I did it!
Woke up this morning and got right back at it. WOD was this:
Monday
Apr182011
3 rounds for time:
800m row
35 pushups
400m run
35 bench dips
I finished in 26:17. I jump roped the first run for 2 minutes instead of running because it was pouring rain but that took about 35 seconds longer than running the 400 would've taken so I opted to run in the rain on the other two rounds instead.
I'm continuing to eat well and only healthy food, no sugar, and maintaining an equal block of protein, carbs, and fats.
Oh yeah, and this was delicious!
While we were waiting for our 2nd van to finish, there was a boothe at the finish line offering samples of this
It's a protein shake in the form of ice cream! Only 150 calories in the whole pint and it tastes delicous. I'm definitely going to get more soon! YUM!
